Processes

You are here:

Processes allow for execution of a series of jobs without manual work. By running batch processes, you can get the results of running an application multiple times against a data file.

The Processes tab is under Tools on the top menu.

All processes saved on your site are listed here. Click Add New Process to create a new task batch.

The data for a new process can come from either a Data File or a Database. Database will use the existing records (database) of the selected application, whereas DataFile will use data uploaded with the Import Data wizard. The two methods will follow different steps.

DataFile Option

Step 1: Select Target Data

Type in a Process Name, select the Application and select DataFile. The fields below will show all imported data files.

Step 2: Data Mapping

Next, select which fields are to be used from the Datafile. You can simply choose to ignore some of the columns.

Step 3: Output Fields

Select which columns are to be saved in the output records. Also, you can choose to save the results as a New Data File, overwrite (with the Overwrite option selected) an Existing Data File or Database (New Records).

Step 4: Results

Finally, choose a time to run the process and hit Save. The new process will appear in the menu.

The new process will be added to the table.

When you click Run (), the process will start and the Status will change to ‘Initializing’.

When it starts calculating, the Status will show ‘InProgress’.

After the process is completed, the status will change to ‘Complete’ and that will finalize the Batch Process.

Changes can be tracked in the History of any of the data in database or the  button under the Actions.
