Assign to Group

This video demonstrates how to use the Assign to Group feature to assign a saved record to a group in SpreadsheetWEB applications.

Groups in SpreadsheetWEB allow restricting users to access the applications and data shared with the same group as they are assigned to. You can also create a hierarchy that matches your workflow structure.

The Assign to Group option is displayed on the Status menu, which can be accessed by clicking the status name of a record on the Data page.

Using the Assign to Group functionality, you can essentially make a record available to a group of users that normally wouldn’t be able to see it. This way, you can compartmentalize data access and manage who can interact with saved data.

Please note that group-level data access can only be granted if the UserAccessGroupData option is enabled in the server configuration and the user role also must support data by group feature. Otherwise, groups will only restrict application access, and data access will not be affected.
