Lesson 7 of 10

Legacy platform

Stripe

Learn how the SpreadsheetWeb Legacy Platform Stripe connector sends payment information from an application into a Stripe transaction.

1 min read

This lesson introduces the Stripe connector for SpreadsheetWeb Legacy applications. The connector allows a web application to initiate a payment-related action using values collected or calculated by the underlying workbook. The video shows how the external payment service participates in the application workflow and how the connector bridges SpreadsheetWeb and Stripe without exposing payment configuration to ordinary users.

Use this integration when an order, registration, invoice, or other calculated transaction needs an online payment step. Before configuration, prepare the appropriate Stripe account and test environment, identify the amount and reference values produced by the application, and limit credentials to the required operation. Payment data requires careful handling, so do not place secret keys or sensitive card information in workbook cells or page content. Complete end-to-end tests in Stripe test mode and verify amounts, currencies, success behavior, failure behavior, and transaction records before considering production use.
