Lesson 1 of 4
Introduction to Tags
Create SpreadsheetWeb Hub tags, customize their icons and colors, and use flexible groupings for applications, records, roles, or workflow stages.
2 min readTags provide a flexible grouping structure in SpreadsheetWeb Hub. A tag can represent a company, department, user role, payment tier, workflow stage, or any other classification needed by the workspace.
Unlike a fixed folder structure, the tag model can be designed around the way applications, data, and users are managed. Plan clear tag names so workspace members understand what each grouping means.
Create a tag
- Open Tags in SpreadsheetWeb Hub.
- Select Create New Tag.
- Enter a descriptive name.
- Choose an icon if the tag needs a visual identifier.
- Select a predefined style or choose the custom option to set background and text colors.
- Select Create Tag.
The new tag is added to the workspace tag list and can be used by other Hub features that support tag-based organization or access.
Edit an existing tag
Open the tag list and select Edit for the tag you want to change. Update its name, icon, or style, then select Update Tag. The revised appearance is applied immediately wherever the tag is displayed.
Delete a tag carefully
Select Delete to permanently remove a tag. Before deleting it, review how it is used in workspace rights, applications, records, identity templates, or workflow rules. Removing a tag that participates in an access rule or process can change how those configurations behave.
Use a consistent tag vocabulary and avoid creating near-duplicate labels. A deliberate naming scheme makes later tag-based filtering and permissions easier to maintain.
