SpreadsheetWEB session timeouts can either be changed from web.config file or IIS Session Management menu (see below). In either case, session timeout can only be changed by the server administrator.
IIS Session Management:
- Open “Internet Information Services”. It is under “Control Panel” – > “Administrative Tools”
- On the left hand side menu locate “SpreadSheetWEB” web site menu item under “Default Web Site”. After that click on “Basic Settings” link on the right hand side as shown in below screenshot.
- A popup window will open. Inside this window there is “Application Pool” name that “SpreadSheetWEB” web site is using as shown in below screenshot.
- Close the popup window and expand the “Application Pools” list on the left hand side menu. Select the application pool that “SpreadSheetWEB” web site is using in application pool list on the center and click “Advanced Settings” on the right hand side as shown in below screenshot.
- On the advanced settings popup window, set the “Idle Time-out (minutes)” value to “60” as shown in below screenshot.
- On the left hand side menu locate “SpreadSheetWEB” web site menu item under “Default Web Site”. After that click on “Session State” link on the center menu as shown in below screenshot.
- Check “In process” radio button and set “Time-out (in minutes)” value to “60”.
